convincing and nice do you cut?

In my humble opinion:

- the blood looks convincing on the floor, but not in her wrists. It's just too bright and it is not sticking to her skin, it's just dripping.

- to have that much blood, the slash on the wrist would have to be pretty big, so there should be some texture or something, to show that something really happened there.

It looks like you threw the blood on the floor and then you put some on your friend, just to show that she actually cut her wrists. I think you should have poured it over her while she was laying, then you would have a better effect.

I'm not trying to thrash your work, it's just an opinion. I like the light, the composition, everything is good. If you don't analyze the picture, it's pretty good. It's just that I tend to look at the details too much.

Oh well...I wasn't actually going for realism. I knew that the wrist looked pretty fake, especially from this angle, but i'm not worried about it. I was just concentrating more on color and composition.

I do appreciate the comments though.

Other than the blood effects needing a little work this is a very nicely composed piece. If you look around you can find some pretty good stuff on the web about fake blood recipes inclusing how to do wounds properly.

Other than the qualms with the fake blood, that's one very fine picture there!

That's why it says, "modern day". Ophelia commited suicide in the play, and this is the more, I hate to say it, contemporary means to do such a thing.
